Suzanne and I are big friends! I am beyond honored to have collaborated with her to create The Suzanne Bracelet. She was diagnosed with Stage 1 Breast Cancer in April 2021. It was discovered by a 2nd physician after a routine screening caused concern. With a family history of breast cancer, postponing a follow-up was not an option for her. She is now on the road to recovery after a double mastectomy in June 2021.
In 2019 Matilda Jane Clothing created the Alana H. Weston-Matilda Jane Clothing Breast Cancer Research Fund at the IU Melvin and Bren Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center to honor Alana and her brave battle with breast cancer.
Today, we would like to support Suzanne’s breast cancer journey, and recognize Alana’s, by donating 20% of proceeds from The Suzanne Bracelet to the Alana H. Weston-Matilda Jane Clothing Breast Cancer Research Fund. Dollars raised will go directly toward research focused on dramatically improving therapies for some of the most difficult-to-treat types of breast cancer.
